As essential support for the promotion of Paris as a destination, the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau provides tourism industry professionals with a comprehensive range of regularly supplemented and updated resources. For 2007, the PCVB has created a new collection of publications with new graphic design, and reorganised, enriched and updated content. The new graphic identity has four characteristics: the illustration, the use of the PCVB’s logo bubbles as a central element of the cover, the selection of four colours for each year, and a simple layout. Original and elegant, the new range of resources seeks to give Paris the image of a vibrant and welcoming city.
This 136-page guidebook, published in English and French, suggests 13 walks that will take you on a discovery tour of the city, its different neighbourhoods, at the pace of life of their inhabitants (mythical Paris, trendy Paris, undiscovered Paris, etc.). And whatever you may feel like doing – seeing a show, shopping, relaxing, etc. -, you will get the most out of the French capital with the 12 thematic sections that alternate with the walks. Complementing Paris for you!, the Paris city map is a useful guide for discovering the capital. Available in ten languages (French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean), it includes a detailed map of the city as well as a metro map, and 16 sections of practical information. Only these information sections – Tourist Information, Services, Health and Safety, Transport, Culture, Accommodation, Restaurants, Business Tourism, Walking, Entertainment and Shopping are available to download. The Paris Committee brings together a number of tourism professionals who, alongside the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau, ensure the promotion of Paris abroad. In 2007, the PCVB has co-edited a new 124-page bilingual guide devoted to gastronomy – that renowned aspect of Parisian life. The Paris Gourmand guide lists all the members of the PCVB in the gastronomy sector. In the first section, restaurants are classified by type of cooking (« gourmet dining », “classic and regional fare”, “fooding trends”, “culinary world tour”, “everyday food”). A second section presents the sites and companies that associate tourism and gastronomy: cabarets, boats, caterers, stores and tearooms, catering schools, etc.
This 316-page bilingual French/English accommodation guide lists over 1,450 approved and classified establishments in Paris and Ile-de-France, members of the PCVB. The establishments are listed by type: hotels, apartment hotels, reservation centres, bed and breakfasts, youth accommodation, campsites and open-air accommodation, and rental of furnished accommodation. Tourism professionals will find addresses and contact numbers, for each of the establishments together with prices.

An innovative take on the French capital, featuring dreamlike soft-focus images. This 5-minute film, made for the PCVB by the artist Nataliya Lyakh, is used during trade shows, conventions, promotional events etc.
Comprising of 148 slides, this presentation is updated each year and focuses on the highlights of Paris, major events, what’s new and the latest trends. This flexible resource can be systematically remodelled to make it perfectly tailored to every situation.
