Opening of the Cité Nationale de l’Histoire de l’Immigration

The Cité Nationale de l’Histoire de l’Immigration opened to the public in October of this year. Situated on the edge of the Bois de Vincennes, it is housed in the Palais de la Porte Dorée - formerly the home of the Musée des Arts d’Afrique et d’Océanie.
One can discover the major stages of immigration through the permanent exhibition « Repères » illustrated through objects, works of art and the personal testimonies of immigrants.
The site seeks to be more than a museum, and also organizes temporary exhibitions like «les Réfugiés Arméniens» (until 11 January), as well as cultural activities like lectures, debates, film and art events.
Open from Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5.30pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 7pm.
