Visits for groups
You might be a teacher with your class, a leisure activity leader or simply member of a group of like-minded adults. It is useful to know that group visits, whether for schools or other organisations, do need to be booked, often a specific length of time in advance. Booking is not always necessary for tours of monuments. In addition, each site fixes a minimum and maximum number of people per group. Group reductions can be worthwhile. For school groups and youth centres (under-18s) and their escorts, unaccompanied tours are free of charge in the majority of museums and monuments, or at the very least at a greatly reduced tariff. A reservation fee may be required however. Groups of adults, either unaccompanied or bringing their own guide, may also benefit from reduced admission but will also have to pay a possible booking fee. Finally, museums and monuments offer plenty of good value packages for groups choosing a tour with one of their own guides.
